The oldest social enterprise in Lithuania provides catering services and corporate luncheons while reintegrating people released from prisons or recovering addicts into society.

Healthy Food with a Mission | Mano Guru x Shift4 Payments Lithuania

Mano Guru

Mano Guru is a unique place where healthy food is a passion and an art. Also it is the first social enterprise in Lithuania that has been operating for more than 20 years. Mano Guru provides a vast range of services, from a popular salad bar in the center of Vilnius to the daily delivery of lunches to the companies and catering services during events. This social enterprise is distinguished by its special attention to quality and fresh ingredients, which are transformed into salad compositions of various flavors. The mission of Mano Guru is to implement the re-integration of people released from prisons or recovering addicts, making them full-fledged members of society and the labor market. This goal is achieved by providing professional training – as cooks, waiters, bartenders, as well as employment opportunities, professional development, social and psychological support. For many of its employees Mano Guru is the second change to a new life. Over the last two decades, the quality services of this social enterprise were provided by more than 900 members of the target group, and 80% of them successfully reintegrated into society.

The partnership with Mano Guru

The partnership between Shift4 and Mano Guru exemplifies a successful collaboration where business objectives are aligned with social impact. The partnership is built on regular, contract-based services that offer clear benefits for both organizations.

Shift4 regularly procures corporate luncheons at Mano Guru for internal or client-facing business functions. These closed luncheons offer a convenient and professional setting for Shift4's meetings, with the central Vilnius location providing easy access for employees, clients, and partners. Moreover, the restaurant's social mission— employing people recovering from addiction or the long-term unemployed—adds a layer of corporate social responsibility to Shift4’s procurement practices.

Beyond regular luncheons, Shift4 also contracts Mano Guru for catering services during coffee breaks, seminars, and other corporate events. Whether for internal workshops or client presentations, these services provide Shift4 with convenient, high-quality food options and demonstrate a long-term commitment to working with socially responsible vendors.

“We are glad that we have been actively selling our catering services to such a large and successful company in Lithuania for several years. Their trust in us has enabled us to be a supplier to those who are not used to buying goods/services sold by social businesses. We are happy to contribute to Shift4's social mission. We really hope that such companies will only increase, and soon we will hear many more stories of cooperation!”

- Sutkuviene Reda, CEO of Mano Guru
